A press release has been unveiled that shows that EMC have finalized their new venture with Lenovo to become “LenovoEMC Ltd”.
The new venture will be emphasizing on NAS products for small and medium businesses and for remote enterprise offices. The company would also be selling x86 Server development programs. EMC had a strong OEM relationship with Dell until the company bought Compellent, EMC’s rival company, which lead to termination of their contract.
Smaller businesses are a new source of revenue, so this could be a win-win venture for both EMC and Lenovo. Lenovo will be having EMC’s expertise to tap into Enterprise level NAS market, whereas for EMC, the products that they make with Lenovo will be sold beyond United States and China.
LenovoEMC would be having its press Debut during CES 2013.
