Streacom HDMI Audio Mix Cable Review

Usage
The test TV used was a Philips 32PFL5403D 32″ HD Ready TV coupled with a Samsung HT-TZ325R supplying the audio.
We used a Sony Playstation 3 for testing and compared Streacom’s HDMI Audio Mix Cable set-up to a standard HDMI cable and separate optical audio cable. Fight Night Round 4 was the game used as it offers a wide variety of different sound effects including speech and deep bass.
For further compatibility testing we used the HDMI output from our test computer’s Radeon HD 5670 graphics card.
The ‘primary’ HDMI connector extrudes from the HDMI output by a substantial amount. It shouldn’t cause too much interference issues though.
The audio cable is connected via a standard 3.5mm jack which then converts into RCA phono connectors.
The USB power cable connects through a separate cable which also departs from inside the ‘primary’ HDMI connector.
When all of the 3 cables are plugged into their respective counterparts, cable management can definitely become awkward. Thankfully the back of a PC isn’t a place of utmost tidiness, but when used with other devices, this may cause an aesthetic issue.
