Street Fighter V Shows-Off New Moves in Latest Trailer

Street Fighter V’s Arcade edition is coming in January 16, 2018. Fans expect all characters from season one and two, the new arcade mode and a lower price. For now, CAPCOM has released a new trailer showing off what else is being added. This includes new V-Triggers for all characters, extending combos and adding mixups to the gameplay. This should bring in more fans which were turned off with CAPCOM’s monetizing efforts and steep pricing earlier on. The launch of Street Fighter V did not exactly go gangbusters for CAPCOM, with many fans angry that they get essentially a beta version on release date. Many of the characters came in season one and two, which cost extra after paying full price for the base game.

The new Arcade Edition update will also bring an upgraded UI, Extra Battle, and gallery mode. Plus, the price will finally drop to only $39.99 from the $59.99 + season pass 1 and 2 pricing. The update of course is completely free for those who already own the game. Those who pre-order the new Arcade Edition gets nine free costumes for their characters.

While the game is not as successful as CAPCOM would have hoped, the game remains the largest fighting game in the world with plenty of players.  It also remains the tent-pole fighting game title to be at the annual EVO fighting game tournament, drawing the most players worldwide.
