The Taiwanese based manufacturer known as Aerocool has expanded its power supply range to target the gaming market. It will be release four power supplies all with modular designs and 80 PLUS certifications. The power supplies have a very distinctive design with a large X-shaped cut out for the fan grill and a red/black colour scheme which would work very well with ATi and AMD systems.
The Strike-X power supplies comply with the ATX 12V 2.3 and EPS 12V 2.92 standards and feature an aluminum frame, a 13.9cm PWM fan, active PFC (Power Factor Correction), a MTBF of over 120,000 hours, a single 12V rail, and over current, over voltage, over wattage, over temperature and short-circuit protection.
The Strike-X family includes the following models:
– 500W (80Plus Bronze rating, up to 85% efficiency) / ~ €44
– 600W (80Plus Bronze rating, up to 85% efficiency) / ~ €52
– 800W (80Plus Silver rating, up to 88% efficiency) / €120
– 1100W (80Plus Gold rating, up to 90% efficiency) / €150
