Sunset Overdrive marked part of the early releases for the Xbox One console. As an exclusive title, the quirky game quickly garnered a lot of fans both in terms of gamers and critics. Its unique combination of gameplay styles (including clear inspirations from the Tony Hawks and Saints Row series) proved a big hit amongst the Xbox community.
Despite its popularity though, it has never released for PC. That is, however, largely forgiven as, as above, it was initially intended as an Xbox One exclusive. Over recent years though, Microsoft has clearly been making efforts to blur the line between PC and Console users.
As such, although it is very unexpected, it’s not surprising to hear that in a report via Eurogamer, Sunset Overdrive is likely heading to the PC very soon!
With the gaming appearing on an ERSB rating website in the US, this is usually the best (and first) indication of an upcoming game. Specifically, one that hasn’t formally been announced. To release a game, you require an age rating. As such, with the announcement on the website, it seems clear that a PC version is indeed on the way.
It will truly be great to see this game arrive on PC and if you’re not aware of it by now, be sure to check out the trailer above. It’s a weird game, but your curiosity will undoubtedly be piqued.
