Fan Speed
The Super Flower Leadex II has both a standard and hybrid fan mode. In terms of the standard fan usage speeds and both solid and consistent as the power output increases. Obviously, as you take things closer to the 1000w mark the fan is going to have to work harder to keep things cool and as such a top speed of just under 1200rpm might seem a little fast. In terms of noise though, it’s still surprisingly quiet.
The hybrid mode amazingly lets the cooler run passively until around 80% load. Even then the fastest speed we recorded was around the 700rpm mark. For a power supply as significant as this, hybrid mode, therefore, seems an excellent choice if you’re not planning to squeeze every watt you can out of it. If you do plan to push this hard though, you are possibly better off just letting the standard fan speeds take the wheel.
