At the time of writing, we were unable to find an exact price for this specific 1000w model. Based on similar prices though for the same range, we would anticipate a retail price in the region of £150-£160. In terms of a gold power supply, that is a little on the high side. We would, however, point out that not only is this a 1000w output, but it is also manufactured by Super Flower who we have always held in high regard.

In addition, coming with a 7-year warranty, you know that this is not only designed to perform at some high figures, but Super Flower also feels strongly enough about it to offer such a long promise of performance.

Overview

This ticks all the right boxes in terms of a high-performance power supply. The Super Flower Leadex II not only warrants its gold rating, but it also delivers the power very effectively with absolutely zero traces of drama. While it is aesthetically not the best-looking power supply we have seen, this is in a market where a good looking power supply is almost an oxymoron. Although I have seen exceptions, good looking power supplies are often pigs with lipstick.

The Super Flower Leadex II, in terms of design and performance, is simply faultless.

Efficiency and Beyond

With high power PSU’s, you can sometimes expect to find an inconsistency somewhere. A factor which dilutes the grandeur of such a figure. In this case, though, there isn’t one. Over various power output levels, the Super Flower Leadex II gave exceptionally good results and perhaps, more importantly, the key factor is that all results were not just consistently good, they were consistent (to their respective testing) and good!

Should I Buy One?

If you are looking for a gold rated power supply that clearly has a lot of muscle, this is definitely it. Not only does it comply with everything it claimed to do, but the testing we conducted clearly shows that this power supply makes no promises that it can not deliver on. Given that power supplies are such an important component in a system build, you want to make sure you get a quality product. If you’re going to spend a lot of money on the fastest processor and strongest GPU, then the Super Flower Leadex II is an excellent companion to provide not only the power but the reliability to keep you in good stead.
