A Closer Look – Interior
Internally the Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1000W is based on Super Flower’s own in-house design. The platform makes use of a resonant converter on the primary side and a synchronous design with two DC-DC converters on the secondary side.
The provided fan is a Globe Fan RL4Z S1402512HH which uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB). Super Flower quote the maximum speed to be 1600 RPM but it will likely never need to spin that fast. Given its rating of 0.5A it can probably do more than 1600RPM but it has been programmed not to.
The rest of the platform makes use of high quality 105 degrees Celsius rated Japanese capacitors. We can see the two primary hold-up capacitors are both rated for 105 degrees and have 560 and 470uF, respectively, at 400V.
