Nowhereelse.fr has published an image supposedly showing some of the physical features of Apple’s rumoured ‘iPad Pro’. The image reportedly comes from an employee of Foxconn, one of Apple’s manufacturing partners in China.
While the image is limited in its scope, the supposed employee gives some additional details concerning the device. The individual says that early testing on the device was stopped last summer following the receipt of new prototypes. The employee adds that production is due to begin soon though and that the tablet will be between 6.9 and 7.5mm in thickness with two speakers on the top and two speakers on the bottom.
We’ve previously reported on rumours of this ‘iPad Pro’, a device that could feature a 12.2-inch display and be aimed at creative professionals such as photographers and graphic designers. It’s also being touted by some analysts as Apple’s way of rejuvenating the iPad, following slow sales thanks to ‘phablets’ like the iPhone 6 Plus effectively taking their place.
