Surface Laptop 4 Images, Specs, and Prices Leak!

Earlier this week, following an update to the official Microsoft support website, there was more than a little indication to suggest that their new Surface Laptop 4 models would be announced in the very near future. In terms of something specific, however, such as specifications or prices. Well… This was about as far as the information went.

Following a report via ChipHell, however, information has leaked online containing not only some images of the laptop designs, but also their configurations, prices, and perhaps even a release date!

So, starting with the aesthetics and screen sizes. Well, when compared to the last-generation design, it doesn’t appear that Microsoft has done much to tweak the overall visual appearance (which isn’t a bad thing as it was perfectly fine). As part of the leak, however, it has been suggested that the Surface Laptop 4 will (at least initially) be made available in both 13.5″ and 15″ screen sizes (13.5″ pictured above with the 15″ below).

In terms of the technology inside, however, it would appear that the prior rumors have been confirmed with Intel’s 11th-Gen processors being noted, but (perhaps surprisingly) not AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 mobile series. The Surface Laptop 4 will, instead, be utilizing the Ryzen 4000 platform.

What Do We Think?

While certainly seemingly representing very potent laptop designs, it can’t be ignored that some of those prices are a little eye-watering. Albeit, we should note that the specifications have not yet gone as far as to state what kind of graphics solution will be included. For the top-spec model, however, we’re clearly in high-end Nvidia 30XX territory!

When will they be out though? Well, the source has claimed that the official launch will happen before the end of this month with a release date of July 27 cited. – So if you are more than a little interested to see if the Surface Laptop 4 could be your next tech purchase, the good news is that some formal and official announcements do indeed look to be just on the horizon, and better still, the release date isn’t seemingly that far off either!
