Performance of Video Playback and Recording
With the system all set up and mounted, it is time to get some recordings done. I have to admit right away, I spent far too long with this kit, far longer than I should have. But I had so much fun trying to trick the motion detection system. Seeing how much it takes to trigger. Jumping out, quickly passing the camera for a split second, just waving my hand, throwing toys for my cat to chase, etc. I can reveal right away, I’m impressed. The system caught what it was supposed to and ignored what it needs to record. It really works, and it works great!
All videos on this page are made with the default settings, full resolution and 10FPS.
Nighttime Recording with IR
This video is played through the browser and it shows a nighttime recording with the infrared view of me robbing my office.
Display Adjustment and Playback Functions
This video has the same content as the above, but it shows some of the various playback features at your disposal. Focus on a single channel, zoom into the video, speed up or slow down. All these things are just a button away.
Daytime Recording
For this video, I downloaded the files from the DVR in MP4 format. I then cut them together to fit the timeline, but showing a fullscreen look.
No False Triggers
As shown below, there aren’t any triggers for the entire night despite my cat moving, running, and jumping around. The first trigger in the morning is once I start moving around the office around 8 AM.
