Swann’s SWDVK-449802 kit is simple but effective. You truly get everything you need in a single box. Just unpack the kit, set it up, start recording and be protected. The only small thing you’ll need extra is a power drill and a screwdriver to mount the cameras. But besides that, everything is included.

The kit is easy to set up, easy to install, and easy to use. The interface is very user-friendly and doesn’t suffer from alignment issues through monitor scaling as it did in the past. Swann has put a lot of work into it and it shows. It works great albeit only in Internet Explorer. At least I had trouble with other browsers. Besides the traditional browser connection, Swann offers a mobile companion app for Android and iOS. With it, you get full control from your mobile phone or tablet. A smooth experience, whether you connect remotely or watch directly from the DVR.

The surveillance kit offers high-quality recordings which include triggered events by intelligent motion detection and heat sensing. The two combined prevent accidental and false recordings from birds, tree branches, and similar events. By doing so, you get fewer false notifications, have to check less, and have fewer annoyances in general. Yet, you still retain the safety when you need it with alerts, notifications, remote live view, and cloud backup.
