It is when you’re away from home that you need a security system, so it needs to be easy to keep tabs on everything. You have the email notifications, but that’s very basic. A far more advanced feature is the remote monitoring through the HomeSafe View app. It is available for Android and iOSios mobile phones and tablets. The connection is made as easy as it could be. Simply scan the QR code located on the DVR, and you’re on your way.
Swann built three awesome features into their DVR system, Smart Search, QuickShot, and QuickReview. These three functions can make the review of an incident a lot easier.
Smart Search is just what it sounds like it is. It allows you to search your recordings for changes in a specific image area. If something has been removed or moved, it will be detected.
QuickShot also allows you to save time when reviewing your recordings. With it, you can search all channels for a given period and then have the results play as a slideshow all on the same screen.
QuickReview is probably my favourite. With it, you can split a single recording up into multiple channels. That means that if the original recording you want to review is one hour, it is split up into four times 15 minutes playing on four channels simultaneously. That will cut your review time down to a quarter of the original.
