Liquid-cooling product manufacturer Swiftech is aiming to make a big splash into the scene with the launch of their new Apogee SKF waterblock. Although the company provided prototypes of the new block at CES 2016 last year, the new addition to their Heirloom series looks a lot different. Which is good since the first prototype was not exactly eye-catching. The preview trailer posted by Swiftech on their YouTube channel however, shows a gorgeous new waterblock that boasts a new cooling engine.
Two G1/4 threads are visible, alternatingly opposite each other on top of the block. It will be available in five different top finishes, with six unique cover plates and eight logo color options. This is going to be a block that many modders will want to use due to customizability. A clear window is visible right on the middle where the new 125 micron thick slotted fins can be seen. Users can also put custom laser engraving at the top for further customization, plus two color options for the mounting bracket. These waterblocks from the Swiftech Heirloom series built for durability. That is why its called “heirloom” since it can outlast other blocks made of acrylic by a lifetime.
