Swedish studio Starbreeze is axing 25 jobs after completing work on EA shooter Syndicate.
“It is sad that we are forced to make staff cutbacks affecting employees,” Starbreeze CEO Mikael Nermark said in a statement issued to GamesIndustry.biz. “But we have to reduce staff after the final delivery of the Syndicate.”
A key member of the Syndicate development team said earlier this month that he wasn’t “super satisfied” with the amount of time the team had to work on the first-person series reboot.
Syndicate hits Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next Tuesday in the US and three days later in the UK.
