Synology Introduces the RackStation RS3618xs

New 12-Bay RackStation Model from Synology

Synology is officially announcing the launch of the RS3618xs 2U 12-bay RackStation model. The newest unit to join the XS series product line, providing reliable and centralized storage for large scale businesses. It is powered by an Intel Xeon D-1521 quad-core processor and comes with 8GB of DDR4-2133 ECC UDIMM RAM. This memory expandable up to 64GB. 

It has four plug-and-play Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and is expandable with 10GbE NICs via PCIe 3.0 slots. There are two PCIe 3.0 slots available in this rack.

The RS3618xs RackStation has native 12-drive support, and is expandable up to 432TB when connecting to two RX1217(RP).

“RS3618xs is an enterprise storage solution that meets the demands of large enterprises,” said Jason Fan, Product Manager at Synology Inc.

How Much Does the Synology RackStation RS3618xs Cost?

The RackStation RS3618xs has a recommended retail price of £2047.50  or €2,332 (exc taxes). It comes with a 5-year warranty, and will be available starting March 9th, 2018.
