Synology Releases BeyondCloud Pre-Setup NAS Units

It isn’t everyone that is equally skilled when it comes to configuring devices, and there also are the people that just don’t want to bother with it. For just those, and everyone else for that matter, Synology created the BeyondCloud NAS devices that come with preinstalled hard drives and features so you can start playing, collaborating, and achieving right away.

The BeyondCloud systems are pre-installed and storage is already allocated, so users can access their own private cloud almost immediately. In addition, the bundles can cost less than the DiskStations and disks purchased separately. Single disk packages are available in 2TB and 3TB configurations, and two-disk packages are available with two 3TB disks in a mirror configuration.

“We are extremely excited to be offering the BeyondCloud package,” said Jason Bonoan, Product Marketing Manager at Synology America Corp.  “Synology is well known for our award-winning DiskStation Manager and its feature set.  With this bundled package, users can quickly take advantage of this, and go beyond traditional public cloud solutions; providing the best value for the tech-savvy user.”

At the base of everything, is of course the DSM operating system from Synology, but it has a lot of features pre-installed and setup such as multimedia packages. Everything can be then be accessed the conventional way or through the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone apps. Cloud and Note stations are also setup, so you can start working on those creative projects and ideas right away.

The Synology BeyondCloud units are US only for the moment, but they might make it to other markets at a later time. Availability is set to mid-January to mid first-quarter.

Thanks to Synology for providing us with this information
