Jakob Aylesbury / 1 year ago
Synology has today announced the release of BeeDrive, a compact data hub that backs up personal files and photos from your computer, phone and tablet simultaneously.
Synology BeeDrive Compact Data Hub
The BeeDrive enables users to protect their files in less than 3 minutes and once it is plugged into a PC users can select which folders to protect and they will be backed up automatically in real-time. All files are stored on the BeeDrive in the exact same way that they are stored on the PC allowing users, in the event of a hardware failure, to easily access their files from another PC without having to install any software or go through a time-consuming recovery process. For phones and tablets, the BeeDrive is also capable of backing up photos and videos over Wi-Fi after simply scanning a QR code.
BeeDrop and Two-Way Sync
For professionals who take a lot of photos on their phones and need to use them on a PC back in the office, the BeeDrop feature allows them to wirelessly send mobile-generated content from iOS and Android devices to BeeDrive. These files become instantly accessible on PC meaning no more uploading and downloading to and from the cloud. BeeDrive also features Two-Way sync for those who switch between home and work computers enabling you to sync files on each computer as soon as it is plugged in.
Availability
BeeDrive is available in 1 TB and 2 TB capacity from mid-June for Windows, iOS, and Android through Synology partners and resellers worldwide. macOS support is planned.
