A fan made project has been underway for a while now, working to recreate the game of System Shock 2 in the mighty CryEngine3 game engine. The efforts of these developers isn’t wasted either, as you can see in the video below, the game is already looking freaking awesome.
Created by Polycount member ‘Mr Smo’ the video sure looks promising, and while CryEngine3 has already netted some impressive results, the team have now moved the game over to Unreal Engine 4.
Will this game ever be complete? I don’t know, but it does give us a glimpse of what a next-gen System Shock game could look like; I know I would pledge some money towards it in a heartbeat!
