Tactical Intervention from Counter Strike goes F2P on release

Minh “Gooseman” Le, creator of Counter-Strike, has returned with a new game, free-to-play first-person shooter Tactical Intervention.

OGPlanet has picked up the game for release in North America. At the recently re-launched Tactical Intervention website you can apply for an invite to the closed beta, which begins in early March.

The service is currently limited to Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico. No word yet on a European release.

“Building off what he wanted to accomplish with CS, Tactical Intervention will have a load of new features and gameplay,” reads the official blurb.

It features drivable vehicles that teammates can lean and shoot out of, attack dogs, rappel ropes, and civilians and hostages.

On the decision to go F2P: “We have some plans similar to what made the CS community so great.”
