I absolutely love the Crazy Taxi games, I played it to death when it came out, I played it to death after that, and while not quite as often as I used to play, I do fire it up on my arcade machine at least once a week these days. It’s one of the purest arcade trills out there, or console thrills if you got in during the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 days. Now, Lion Castle and Team6 Game Studios have announced that their cab driving game, Taxi Chaos, which is broadly inspired by the Crazy Taxi franchise.
I must raise an eyebrow or three though, as looking at the rather exciting trailer, it’s literally just Crazy Taxi. The car jumps a little higher, and the voices are changed, but it’s literally Crazy Taxi. That may bother SEGA’s lawyers, but I don’t care, it looks like a lot of fun, so I’m eager to get hands-on with it.
Fortunately, I won’t have long to wait, as the game is set to release on PC on October 19th. However, I’m only just learning of this game, but it does seem it’s been out on major consoles for a little while now, but it’s finally coming to PC.
Rush through the city to deliver your crazy customers! Are you ready for this crazy and chaotic ride? Get behind the wheel and get ready for a brand-new taxi experience! Drive around the city as the seasoned cab driver Vinny or the self-proclaimed ‘influencer’ Cleo, and pick up the craziest of customers! Navigate through crowded streets, dodge pedestrians across sidewalks or even defy the laws of gravity by jumping over rooftops! Nothing is too extreme when it comes to delivering your passengers on time! Discover the best shortcuts and get to know New Yellow City (NYC), as well as your passengers, like the back of your hand.
No official PC trailer just yet, but I’m guessing one will come. For now, here’s the PS4 trailer!
