Out of the box, the stock XMP profile was really impressive. Sure, it’s “only” 3200 MHz, but this is still hardly what you would call slow. Plus, the biggest advantage that TeamGroup is bringing to the results is the timings. This is the CL14 kit, giving it a good advantage over most of the CL16 and CL18 kits we’ve tested in the past. It scored some of the best speeds we’ve seen for a 3200 MHz kit. Sure, not always the fastest, but it’s certainly up there with its rivals.
Overclocking netted us mostly a few small gains. Of course, that’s to be expected, as memory overclocking is a marginal improvement for most systems even when done right. However, despite being a 3200 MHz kit, we did push to 3600 Mhz, albeit at the cost of the timings. The end results hardly seem worth it and keeping the 3200 MHz and the tighter timings is what I would recommend for this kit. Higher numbers aren’t always going to give you much better results.
