The Tecware Forge L Black ATX MId-Tower PC Case is available now for around £100. I’ve seen the price fluctuate about +/- £5 from that, so keep an eye out for the best deals. It’s on Amazon right now for £102.54, which isn’t a bargain, but it’s certainly a fair price. Keep in mind, this is a bigger case than most mid-towers, so you’re paying for a lot more materials. Furthermore, it has four large ARGB fans in the front and a 120mm fan in the back, as well as that fantastic hub for the fans and lighting; that stuff doesn’t come cheap, especially if you were to buy it separately!
This is the biggest and most expensive case I’ve seen from Tecware, and I must admit, I’m suitably impressed with what they have to offer. When you’re pushing up to £100+, you’re getting into some extremely competitive areas. High-end brands like Corsair, Lian Li, Thermaltake and many others all have extremely competitive products around the price range.
Thankfully, there’s no reason why Tecware cannot compete with them either, as they’ve really nailed the finer details of this case, while also scoring top marks for all the big and obvious stuff.
There’s a high air-flow design, with a full mesh front panel, offering excellent air intake and some built-in dust filters. There’s a full-length dust filter on the bottom of the case and another on the top. It’s borderline open-air! However, while noise could be an issue, they equipped the front panel with lower RPM 140mm fans, moving more air at lower speeds, giving you quiet performance and great cooling.
It’s close to being a full tower, with room for the largest graphics cards on the market today. Plus, you’ll still have room for big radiators or more fans if you really feel the need. The space does mean that E-ATX motherboards fit with ease, and the cable routing is well suited to the wider motherboards design too.
With the PSU shroud, lots of cable routing space, as well as plenty of cable routing cut-outs, you shouldn’t have much trouble getting a clean-looking build. A lot of that is thanks to the RGB/Fan hub, as it means you only need a single PWM cable to the motherboard for all fans, making cable management a lot cleaner looking.
The build quality is excellent. Even the tempered glass window comes with a metal frame on the interior. Everything feels robust and slightly over-engineered, and that’s exactly what I would expect for a case that’s asking for £100+. You can get cases that look like this, but it’s the overall build quality and the things you can feel, not see, that give this case an edge.
If I was building an affordable ATX system, this case is overkill. However, if you want a wider E-ATX motherboard, a larger graphics card, and you still want good clearance in the front of the case, the Forge L is perfect for the job. Excellent airflow, pre-installed ARGB fans, easy cable management, and durable build quality make this case worth every penny. Clearly, Tecware are a brand that is here to stay!
