Building a system inside the Forge M2 could not have been much easier. Sure, it’s a more compact design, but there’s still plenty of room in here for hardware, and to get your hands in there and make basic changes, and work with a screwdriver. Overall, it’s a very user-friendly design that shouldn’t confuse first-time builders.

The cable routing may not be overly fancy, as there are no rubber grommets, but really it doesn’t seem to matter much. The cable runs are kept nice and short, and the overall build looks very presentable with minimal effort.

Of course, having the PSU shroud is a huge advantage here, as it hides the bulk of the cables out of sight, keeping things looking smart, and ensuring fewer things are getting in the way of airflow.

Not that airflow is an issue in this case, as that full-mesh front panel will let air passively flow throughout the case. Plus, there are perforations on the PSU shroud, the top fan mounts, and rear mounts, so the heat has nowhere to live in this case and can leave freely.

Of course, being so open, noisy hardware will be audible, so choose your components wisely. The case is also not impervious to dust. Sure, the front mesh filter will help a little, but I suspect you’ll be getting the hoover to that once or twice a month to keep it tidy. The same goes for the PSU dust filter, it’s pretty basic, but it’s going to get the job done at least.

Overall though, this is a very nice looking PC case. It presents your hardware well, it ensures a nice and easy build process, and it has great airflow and cooling overall too. So for those running decent gaming hardware, keeping it cool should not be an issue.

the RGB is a welcome addition too, not only does it light up the interior of the case nicely, but it looks pretty slick from the front.

It may be a fairly affordable case, but getting three RGB fans pre-installed and daisy-chained right out of the box is mighty impressive. It looks great, performs great, and it’s kind to the wallet; what’s not to love about that!
