How Much Does it Cost?

The Tecware Nexus Evo is available now from most PC hardware retailers. However, it’s also on Amazon and seems to be £49.99 wherever you shop. That’s astonishing value for money, given you get tempered glass, some RGB effects, three pre-installed fans, a PSU shroud, and more! I think this one will be hard to beat.

Overview

I really like this case, and while it has a few minor flaws, they’re really nothing to worry about. It’s little details, like the snap-off expansion slot covers on the back. At this price range, I can live with that, I really can. Then there are no grommets on the cable routing holes, but so what, no big deal either. The front panel RGB/LED control button is tucked so deep under the front panel, it feels like some kind of medical exam when making changes. No big issue though, I’ll set it once and leave it.

Build Quality

All the good stuff drowns out the minor issues above, and the price, let’s not forget the price. You get three decent quality Tecware branded fans with this case. They’re nothing fancy, but I love that they’re completely black and not just cheaper RGB glitzy things. The steel is durable, and the case doesn’t feel like it wobbles or rattles. Actually, the right side panel was surprisingly heavy for a cheap case, as they’re normally as thick as a Coke can, and that’s not the case here. You get a tempered glass window, and surprisingly colourful and bright LEDs too. The old Molex headers could do with being swapped for SATA, but overall, I’ve plenty of praise for the Nexus Evo.

Design

It’s a good looking case, nothing too flashy, but it does look pretty tidy. The front panel is clean. Many budget cases tend to over-design just to make them stand out, but Tecware kept things sensible. It has good cable routing, a PSU shroud, loads of clearance for decently sized hardware. Plus, while it comes with three fans, it can hold more, and even some AIO radiators if you wanted to expand. This isn’t a budget case for budget builds, this is a case that’ll make a decent starting point for a more expensive build. Save your money on the case, put it towards the sky-high prices of GPUs.

Should I Buy One?

Honestly? Yes. If you’ve only got £50 for a PC case, you’ll have a damn hard time finding better value right now. Good build quality, a great range of features, and a pretty cool design make the Tecware Nexus Evo a real winner.
