Tekken 7 fans have a lot of things to be excited about, as Bandai Namco has officially confirmed during this year’s E3 event that the game will also be released on Xbox One and PC platforms. This means that plenty of people will be able to enjoy this upcoming fighting game, but what’s arguably much more exciting is that cross-platform play might also be supported. Series creator Katsuhiro Harada talked about this possibility during a recent interview, in which he was asked directly about a potential cross-platform play feature. Apparently, such a thing would not be incredibly difficult to put together, and it looks like the team already has some ideas on how to move forward with this.
There are some issues that would need to be worked out, though, including the possibility of cheating on the PC platform. Still, having a larger player base overall would definitely bring its own advantages, so we’ll just have to wait for the team’s final decision. Tekken 7 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in the early months of 2017, which means that we still have quite a bit of waiting time left.
