Remember when we told you that Telltale was working on its own Batman game? Well, sources now indicate that the game is nearly completed and that it will be launched officially this summer, which is just a few months away. According to Telltale, this is going to be one of the company’s best games so far, not just from a storytelling point of view but also graphics-wise. Apparently, this title will benefit from new visual technology, including new rendering techniques and other eye-candy. As far as the story is concerned, the action will take place in its own universe, which means that the writing staff was free to create its own version of the Caped Crusader.
What’s also interesting is the fact that the player will be able to approach certain situations as either Bruce Wayne or Batman himself, and this will obviously change the available dialogue options and outcomes. Moreover, gamers will spend just as much time as Bruce Wayne as they will as Batman, which sounds great to me because I’ve always wanted to learn more about the man behind the mask and his motivations, his personality and his maybe even his fears.
