Shenzen based Tenda is introducing the new USB 3.0 based U12 AC1300 Wireless network adapter that lets users connect to a network easily by simple plug and play while taking advantage of the fast connection speed offered by the interface. It is fully compatible with Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and OSX versions 10.6 or later as well as Linux, requiring effortless setup from the user. A WPS button is available on the side to secure the connection with WPA or WPA2 security. It also comes with a USB cable extender so it can be plugged into any setup just in case there are clearance issues with plugging the device in directly into the I/O.
The U12 AC1300 is a dual-band adapter with transfer speeds up to 867 Mbps on the 5GHz band but the 802.11ac adapter also takes advantage of 256-QAM technology to breakthrough the 802.11n protocal limitations and achieve a higher 400Mbps throughput on the 2.4GHz band. Within its compact 93.8 x 30.2 x 13.4 mm enclosure, the Tenda U12 AC1300 uses a PIFA antenna and has a transmit power of <20dBm (EIRP).
The Tenda U12 AC1300 is now available on Amazon.com or MicroCenter stores for only $27.99
