Pricing
At the time of this review, the TerraMaster F2-210 can be yours for as little as £139.99 in the UK and $149.99 in the US. That is very cheap if you ask me and lower priced than you’d expect it to be.
Final Thoughts
When I first received this NAS, I didn’t have that high hopes for it based on previous budget-oriented NAS’ which I have reviewed. But times have changed and TerraMaster kinda blew me away with this unit. Granted, The F2-210 is no performance monster, but it keeps up with the rest with ease and delivers great performance for the price. It definitely doesn’t need to hide from the competition, in fact, it can march in the front and be proud.
Connection wise, the F2-210 is quite simple. That said, it has everything you need. A Gigabit Ethernet connection and two USB 3.0 ports. And that is the only little downside on this unit, the USB. While it is USB 3.0, our tests on connected USB storage were on the low side. That is true, but it is also true that it isn’t something that will be noticed or used a lot by most people.
Performance
The quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM is enough for basic file sharing and media streaming to multiple devices at once. Whether you just access the files via CIFS, AFP, and NTP, or you stream your media via Plex Server, Emby or other offered options, the F2-210 NAS will do a superb job. And it will do it without breaking your budget.
The latest version of the TerraMaster OS, which powers the F2-210, is also a great piece. It is packed with great features, looks good, and runs smooth.
Should I Purchase One?
