We’re huge fans of the TerraMaster range here at eTeknix. Sure, they look like just about any other NAS range to most, and in some ways they are. However, that doesn’t diminish the quality and versatility of their hardware and software suites.
Their new F5-221 5 Bay for example. It features an Intel Quad Core CPU, while the two bay features a powerful dual core solution.
Connectivity is a big focus for them also. Such as this one with no fewer than four GbE ports. Perfect for high-load environments and multiple users. From a punchy Plex server to content creators, it’s pretty versatile.
They also have a range of Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2 Gen 2, and much more across their range. Of course, everything comes with that super clean build quality and brushed aluminium construction.
While titans like Synology and QNAP are almost too big to beat these days, TerraMaster is easily one of the most competitive right now. Competitive prices, superb functionality and software too. Obviously, their connectivity and performance is up there with the best though. Between the likes of Drobo, ASUSTOR and Thecus, they’re certainly edging out a lead on many rivals.
We’ll be diving more into their product range in the coming weeks and months. However, I hope you keep a keen eye out on their range this year, as I think they’re onto something with their entire range right now. Stay tuned!
We just want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors for Computex 2019; EK, Taitra, Patriot, Corsair and Viper Gaming. We’ll be bringing you the latest products and news for all these brands and many more while we’re in Taiwan. Check out our Computex 2019 event page for the latest!
