Tesla Releases Powerbank With Same Battery as Model S/X

Tesla Design has just released a new smartphone powerbank resembling on of their Tesla monument charging station. Moreover, it apparently uses the same cells as an actual Tesla Model S/Model X. The powerbank measures 108 x 30.5 x 23.3mm and packs a single 18650 cell with 3350 mAh capacity. It has an 1800mA input with an output voltage of 5V (1.5A) max. The compact design makes it quite portable and easy to store in almost any compartment. Most importantly, on one’s pocket.
It already has an integrated USB cable, so there is no need to lug around extras. It even has Apple lightning cable integration with a detachable micro USB connector. USB Type-C users unfortunately are out of luck. They would have to bring an adapter with them.
Once plugged in, the charge status indicator lets users know how far along it is. The device also has high efficiency circuitry for delivering maximum battery capacity.
This is one way that Tesla fans who could not quite afford the newly announced Roadster show their appreciation. As impressive as having a 600 mile range and 0 to 60 in under 2 seconds is, the $200,000 price tag with $50,000 down payment is going to keep it out of range of most users.
Tesla Powerbank Pricing Information
The Tesla Powerbank actually costs the same as their Tesla Desktop Supercharger at $45.00 USD. The difference of course is in the design and the fact that the Powerbank includes cables already.
