Tesoro Lobera Supreme Keyboard Review

Price
The Lobera Supreme is a flagship mechanical keyboard packed full of features, for this reason it commands a premium price tag and most retailers have them listed for around £105. This puts it along side the Corsair K70 and Razer Blackwidow (to name but a few) and spec for spec the Lobera Supreme gives them a good run for their money.
Overview
Tesoro have done a great job on the Lobera Supreme, it’s certainly a unique keyboard in terms of design, meaning that it stands out from the crowd and that’s important in a market that is packed full of keyboards from brands like Corsair and Thermaltake. It’s hard to spend £100+ on a mechanical keyboard and come away with something rubbish, but the Lobera Supreme certainly puts up a good fight for the competition and while I’m uncertain it’s any better than anything else out there, it’s easily on par with the best of the best.
In terms of features the Lobera Supreme is packing a lot of extras. The lighting effects are really nice, featuring rich colours and easy customisation; perfect for putting your own unique spin on the appearance. The macro features are extensive and easy to customise over multiple profiles, great for those who play a wide variety of demanding games such as MMOs, RPG and FPS titles. The only thing that I don’t like about this keyboard is that the software feels a little over engineered, keeping it simple would be a big improvement in my opinion.
Build quality is very good. Sure there are a lot of plastics on show, but Tesoro have done a great job at making them durable and well finished. The fake brushed aluminium panels look great, especially when the light catches them and the whole keyboard looks stunning overall; especially so with the back and side lighting enabled in a dark room.
Pros
- Stylish and unique design
- USB and Audio ports
- High quality mechanical switches
- Customisable back and side LED lighting
- On-the-fly macro recording
- Thumb keys
Cons
- Software looks to cluttered
Neutral
- High price tag may put some off, but it is still competitive
“The Lobera Supreme may be a little expensive, but you certainly get your monies worth. Tesoro have packed in all of the features a gamer could ask for and have refined them into one of the best gaming keyboard on the market; a great choice for any serious PC gamer.”
Thank you Tesoro for providing us with this sample.
