Testing Mixed-Resolution AMD Eyefinity: 6400×1080
Screenshots at 6400×1080
Before we delve into any performance figures we first want to give you a chance to see what the resolution looks like and why you might want to use it. Believe it or not but the vast majority of modern DX11 games will support this resolution natively so chances are all your games can benefit, particular first person shooters or RPGs. Below we’ve included 6400 x 1080 screenshots of the games we tested to give you a feel for what the extra resolution does for each game. The images below are scaled to fit on the page, you have to click on them individually to see what the full resolution looks like. For 99.99% of you your display resolution won’t allow you to see the full image so it will end up being scaled but you can manually zoom in and look around to get a feel for the extra quality it adds. Furthermore, just from looking at the scaled images you can see how much extra real estate you get in terms of field of view and such.
Alien vs Predator
Battlefield 4
Bioshock Infinite
Dirt Showdown
Hitman: Absolution
Metro: Last Light
Tomb Raider
The last image is wrong. 1920×1600 should be 1920×1200.
Heh, didn’t even notice. Blame AMD, they made those images for press distribution 😛
I’m trying to get 1 1080p and 2 1280×1024 to work. Any help?
I think I’m switching camps this summer; can barely even play Minecraft because Nvidia’s driver crashes with it.
From time to time I come to this page, I’m running an Eyefinity setup for a couple years now, and now that I’m upgrading for a R9 390, my next purchase will definitely be a 29″ superwide screen to finally get the 6400×1080 res.
