With The Callisto Protocol set for release on December 2nd, will I be playing it? – Probably not. I make very little secret of the fact that while I enjoy watching people playing horror titles, I typically tend to prefer to do so in the comfort of not having to make or have any direct participation in it.
Presuming you are planning to check this out, however, you might be curious to know whether your system will actually be capable of handling it. – The various gameplay/cinematic trailers have, after all, certainly been showcasing some high levels of graphical eye candy!
Well, following an update to the official Steam Store website, we now have our answer and the short version is that, with ray-tracing at least taken out of the equation, the vast majority of you are probably going to be alright here!
Overall, the PC requirements for The Callisto Protocol are surprisingly benign. In fact, in terms of the graphics cards, it’s more than a little pleasant to still see Nvidia’s 10XX series still getting mentioned (particularly in the recommended section). – With that being said, however, the CPU requirements are a little on the higher side of things, but overall, potato or powerhouse, as long as your system is reasonably modern you shouldn’t have too many problems checking this out!
