The Corsair One i140 – Gaming PC System Review

Price

Although as we stated earlier there are three model variants released in this Corsair range, the Corsair One i140 retails for a price in the region of £2,849.00. This system is sold in the US for around $2,999.

This is, clearly, a pretty huge amount of money and, in truth, in terms of individual components, you could probably assemble this system for less. There is, however, the small factor that, in terms of design, this system has been very well assembled and is a lot more complicated than it may appear.

To replicate a system of this type would require a strong knowledge and experience in PC design and if you don’t have that, the overhead for the system as a whole does make it seem a little more reasonable.

Performance

The Corsair One i140 is, without a doubt, one of the best pre-built systems we have ever seen here at eTeknix. The benchmarking results along consistently showed this being either top or in a very close 2nd place and, for a system as small as this, such results are truly remarkable.

Based on the specification of the system as well, there is no reason at all why this couldn’t easily gobble up any gaming thrown at it for at least the next 5 years.

Design & Aesthetics

The design aspect of the Corsair One i140 largely boils down to two aspects. Namely, the exterior chassis design and the interior layout. Anyway you look at this, however, the system in fantastic.

The chassis design is remarkably small and surprisingly understated for Corsair. It does, however, all lead into what internally is one of the tidiest compact systems I have ever seen.

There is literally no room for criticism and that speaks volumes!

Should I Buy One?

The Corsair One i140 is rather expensive and that is a fact that is entirely inescapable. When you consider, however, the work and effort that has gone into producing this system, however, it is arguably one of the best ‘pre-built’ gaming PCs currently on the market.

It ticks so many of the right boxes. It has power, performance and a small sleek aesthetic that makes this easily one of the best pre-built systems we have ever encountered.

Pros

• Design and aesthetics to suit all needs
• Exceptionally strong performance in both work and play
• A somewhat rare combination of having both top-specification graphics and processing power
• An absolute monster for gaming, particularly in higher resolutions
• Surprisingly quiet performance

Cons

• Upgrading this system in the future may require experienced hands.

Neutral

• A price tag that will only appeal (or be possible) for a very limited customer base.
