ZeniMax Online’s “Elder Scrolls Online” title is still in development and has yet to enter the closed beta stage. Despite this the upcoming MMO title has received a staggering 3 million beta sign ups already. With such huge demand for what will surely be very limited beta testing places it seems many people will be disappointed until the open beta – if there is one of course.
Matt Firor of ZeniMax Online told PCGamesN that:
“We’ve had well over 3 million beta sign-ups, which we haven’t announced before. You don’t want to let too many people in early, because the game is, frankly, not too good in early beta and you don’t want to expose many people to that, but we’re well into the tens of thousands.”
The Elder Scrolls Online will be launched on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It will be a subscription based game where gamers have to pay monthly to use it. The monthly costs are still yet to be disclosed. The game will be made available at sometime in 2014.
