The HP EliteOne 1000 AIO Comes with a Replaceable Screen

HP’s new all-in-one is versatile.

This year, during its annual World Partner Forum, HP has revealed a very interesting all-in-one line. What makes the HP EliteOne 1000 AIO special is that it boasts interchangeable components, at least some of them. This could help the product when it comes to future-proofing, and it might prevent it from being replaced altogether when newer tech arrives. Keep in mind that the CPU and GPU are not replaceable, but you can swap the display on this AIO with a better one. Original configurations include a 23.8-inch FHD (touch or non-touch) and a 27-inch 4K screen. There’s also a premium 34-inch curved display offering, which won’t need replacing anytime soon.

The system can be equipped with up to an Intel 7th generation Core i7 processor complemented by Intel Optane memory. The audio solution was designed by Bang & Olufsen, which is a high-end Danish consumer electronics company. And since it was marketed as a video conference machine, the EliteOne 1000 can support an FHD dual-facing webcam. Other highlights include a BIOS monitoring and recovery solution, as well as HP Sure Start, HP Sure Click and HP PhoneWise. At this point, you might be wondering: what good is an upgradeable display if I can’t swap the CPU?

Well, you could start off with a lower-end screen and a higher-end spec configuration to save some money up front. You could upgrade the display in the future in order to create one of the best AIOs out there. Alternatively, you could go for a high-end screen and a low-end config. Price-wise, the HP EliteOne 1000 starts off at $1,259. The product will become available for purchase later this month.

Would you buy an HP all-in-one, or would you rather stick with a capable laptop?
