The League of Titans is not Overwatch!

Whenever a big game comes out, it inspires other games, giving us a chance to relive our favourite experiences over and over again with just that little unique twist. Call of Duty Modern Warfare inspired a generation of shooters that even today we still get to enjoy today. One of the next big releases comes out on Tuesday and is titled Overwatch, but it looks like Overwatch may have inspired more than just an expansion of its gameplay.

Overwatch is set to come out and entertain thousands of players for months and maybe even years, setting the side of heroes and villains against one another in a world in which we’ve all but banned the heroes that protected us. It looks like a Chinese developer has already been inspired to work on a game that shares more than a striking similarity to the new game.

Shown in their slides from the presentation they gave to possible investors, you can see several characters that seem to be inspired in more ways than one by Blizzards new FPS/MOBA. In the below images not only can you see some familiar scenes but also three characters all of which bear striking resemblances to (starting from the left to the right) Pharah, Bastion, and Reaper. With names like Streetpig, Rhineheart and The Pharoah, the similarities to Roadhog, Reinhardt and Pharah don’t seem to stop at just their character designs.

With most games having difficulty releasing in China, it would be interesting to see how Blizzard takes what can only be described as a copyright infringement, especially given that an image appears to show the game playing on an iPhone with all the same GUI elements that Overwatch provides its players.
