Whether you’re looking to alter GTA V’s graphics or some of its gameplay features, there are plenty of mods available right now, and while most of the graphics-related mods are moderately impressive, there is one that can definitely surpass them all. Dubbed GTA V – Redux, this is not your ordinary eye-candy mod, as it also includes a generous amount of major and minor gameplay tweaks. Apart from altering the game’s shaders, this project also includes brand new road textures for Los Santos, and it even replaces the billboards, increases the density of the game’s debris, changes blood textures and physics, and makes the water look much more realistic.
Apparently, the weather in the game also received some work, as it now includes more weather types that blend together seamlessly. For example, fog will be present on higher altitudes, while a sunset haze will illuminate skyscrapers nicely. The simulated global illumination is also a nice touch, as it makes everything look more beautiful when compared to the original game. What’s arguably even more impressive is that every single weapon and vehicle has been modified with realism in mind. Just a few days ago, GTA V – Redux has received its very first gameplay trailer, which you can see for yourself just below. If you’re looking for a complete list of features, you can visit the mod’s own website right here.
