The new Raidmax Viper featuring a tool-less design

The PC chassis maker, Raidmax, has recently presented their new case combining most of today’s expectations for a good case: the Raidmax Viper.
Available in three colours, a dark black, and a vibrant red or white, the Viper mixes quality, ease-of-use, performance, low price and good looks. Let’s approach this new product to examine it more closely.
The outside isn’t feature-less, but it isn’t full of little fiddling details neither, with different colour combinations, you still get the style you expect from a good chassis, and you still get some features, with the first thing we find being a front door, which covers the four external 5.25” drive bays, one 3.5” bay, power and reset buttons, audio out, microphone in, as well as two USB 2.0 ports, a shame really as some manufacturers are already providing USB 3.0 capability for around the same price as the Viper. On the other hand, the side door features a side window, with an optional blue LED 120mm fan.
Inside, we find the ease-of-use implanted by Raidmax, the drives just slide in and lock in place, no need for any screws. For performance we find a useful cable routing system to keep the cables out of the airflow as well as a total of three 120mm fans, two of which is included with one being optional ( respectively one front, one back, one side). The seven expansion slots aren’t so tool-less as the rest, but I believe that a sturdy is more adapted to support the heavy graphics card we see around today.
The PSU is bottom mounted and includes and easily reachable and cleanable dust filter underneath to avoid all the dust, one of your hardware’s many ‘enemies’. This chassis adopts standard ATX and micro-ATX motherboard up to 10” x 12” and incorporates cut out holes on the back to install an advanced water cooling solution.
Available starting October, the Raidmax Viper will only cost around $60 and already has a competitor; the NZXT Tempest 210 reported yesterday.
