The Steam Halloween Sale 2018 Event is Now Live

Horror-Themed Games on Sale

Valve has launched their 2018 Halloween sale and as usual, the most popular horror-themed games are discounted. This includes Zombie games like Valve’s own Left for Dead 2 (89% off), Dying Light (67% off), Dead Island Definitive Edition (70% off), and more.

If you prefer the engaging story type of horror games, may I suggest the award-winning SOMA (80% off), or the classic Amnesia the Dark Descent (80% off). Outlast 2 is a solid choice as well for a good scare at 75% off. Even for an old game, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines at 75% off is a solid choice as well. It has great story telling, interesting characters and your choices matter greatly as you move along.

In case you are a masochist and like pain, Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III are 75% and should give you quite the challenge. Note that this is the Scholar of the First Sin version of Dark Souls II, which is slightly different from the original.

There are simply too many to choose from so take your pick by checking out the Steam Halloween Sale website.

What About Non-Halloween Related Games?

In case you are not into Halloween, Steam also has quite a number of notable games on sale. Divinity Original Sin II (all versions) is at its lowest historical price yet at 33%. It is one of the most highly rated independent games in 2018. So it is definitely worthy of a pick up, discounted or not.

The Witcher III GOTY and its DLCs are also discounted at 60% and 50% off respectively. The entire Bioshock series is also on sale, all for 75% off, including remasters of the first and second part.

Middle-Earth Shadow of War is also 66% off. Although be careful when picking the DLCs for it. Since WB made it confusing and redundant, offering two passes which contain the same DLCs. None of the DLCs are on sale, but the Definitive Edition is 50% off.
