Which one of you has never dreamed of the best FPS simulator? Unfortunately I am not announcing the availability of it, more the unveiling/demonstration of it.
This coming Monday, on October 24, the Gadget Show will present their unique and one-of-a-kind FPS simulator running on Battlefield 3.
This feat was achieved by grouping together a team of top technology experts from all across Europe.
You can let your mouse and keyboard at home, with a 360 degree immersive environment, your movements are controlled by your body on the world’s first multi-directional treadmill, thanks to the Swedish-based company MSE Weibull, on which you become the controller. A wireless gun system is in charge of your shooting, ambient LED light is added to give more reality and a Xbox Kinect camera hack is also used, most likely for body tracking.
Here’s another one-of-a-kind simulation, 12 paintball markets allow to player to be entirely immersed in the feeling of the game, and by feeling, I do mean pain… I would suggest trying not to be exploded to bits…
To view this incredible piece of hardware, tune in at 8PM on Channel 5 to assist this epic moment in the Gadget Show’s history as well of our own.
