Theif Remake Has Finally Gone Gold!

The game has been a long time coming, but it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel for eager games such as myself who can’t wait to get their hands on it. Thief has finally gone gold, that means that final retail disc has been mastered and has been sent to be mass produced and shipped out to gamers around the world… well, so long as they go pay money for it at a retailer first.
The game is due for release on February 25th in North America and February 28th in Europe, and since I’ve had my copy pre-ordered on Steam for a couple of months now, this day has been a long time coming.
The game has had a tough time in development, innitial feedback from testers was less than promising and the game got a lot of negative feedback from fans. Since then, the team have reworked the game, listened to fans and made the effort to address some of the fan complaints. The games reputation has since improved, but the final product remains to be judged.
With the success of the recent Tomb Raider reboot, it’ll be interesting to see if Eidos can hit that sweet spot again, let’s hope they do, because the return of the Theif franchise could be one of the coolest gaming moments of 2014.
The game will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC later this month.
