Thermalright is renowned for manufacturing a huge range of affordable air cooling solutions featuring sophisticated designs. The company’s latest creation is the AXP-100H Muscle, a top-flow CPU cooler suitable for small-form-factor PC builds. The cooler has a nickel-plated copper base with a mirror finish and 6mm thick nickel-plated heat pipes which connect to a dense aluminium fin array.
The aluminium heatsink is ventilated by a 100mmm fan which operates at 900-2500RPM. This results in an airflow rating of 16.455 m3/h while the noise output remains fairly minimal within a 23-30 dBA range. According to Thermalright, the product can contend with thermal loads up to 200W, although this is limited to 140W on AM3+ processors.
On another note, the AXP-100H Muscle supports major socket types including LGA115x, AMD AM3+ and FM2+. This makes it a really versatile unit which can be used in a number of different systems from low-cost HTPCs to high-end ITX gaming rigs. Unfortunately, Thermalright didn’t reveal any details about pricing but I’m expecting this cooler to target an accessible price point. The overall package looks great and I’m fond of the cooler’s nickel-plated finish.
