Thermalright Archon SB-E X2 CPU Cooler Review

Stock acoustics were exemplary. Given it had an identical fan to the Macho Rev.A (BW) it isn’t at all surprising it had the same noise output.
Again, like the Macho Rev.A (BW), the Archon SB-E X2 was equally as quiet at overclocked load as it was at stock-clock load. Something that is very impressive indeed. You can see the fixed 1100 RPM profile was roughly as loud as the Scythe Mugen 3 which is actually still quiet. I think this goes to show there is more “quiet” performance to be had out of this cooler if you are willing to tweak around with fan speeds but if you aren’t then the out-of-the-box performance is still very good indeed.
