Without a doubt, this is one seriously powerful cooler, scoring just 72c, some of the lowest temperatures we’ve ever seen.
Pushing the performance up and undervolting was a breeze, and resulted in a nearly 9c drop in temperatures despite overall system performance going up.
The noise levels are great too, sure, it shows as a little on the louder side, but it’s not, it’s more of a low wind noise rather than a noisy fan noise and is very much not as distracting as similarly loud 120mm fans. However, it’s also 3dBa below that of the old TH420 V2.
Noise levels were otherwise unchanged, but honestly, the PWM curve is a little strong. I run the previous model of this cooler with the fans locked at 25% and it’s virtually silent with little to no noticeable impact on the cooling performance. If you want near-total silence, it’s more than capable of it.
