Thermaltake Ceres 330 TG ARGB Mid Tower Case Review

Interior

With the side panel removed, you can see there’s a pretty standard modern layout in here, with a PSU shroud in the bottom, and all the drive bays in the rear, you’ve got plenty of space for a massive graphics card, big coolers, and lots of fans throughout.

The PSU shroud is a nice touch, but it’s heavily ventilated too, ensuring that there are no spots where heat can be trapped within the case, and allowing the main compartment to benefit from the bottom cooling mounts.

The front fans are 140mm ARGB, and recessed into the front panel too, so they don’t take up any space within the main section of the case. Of course, you can swap these out for your own fans, or add a radiator here, but keep in mind the radiator thickness you choose will eat into the available space for a larger GPU.

There are two sets of cut-outs around the motherboard, the ones with grommets are your traditional cable routing holes, but the ones to the sides are for rear-mounted connectors on compatible hidden-cable motherboards.

In the back of the case, there’s a single 140mm black fan, it’s a shame it’s not ARGB to match the front ones though, that would have been a nice addition, but it’s hardly a deal breaker either.

At the top of the case, you’ll find fittings for both 120mm and 140mm fans. The Ceres 330 will support up to a 360mm radiator in the front and a 280mm radiator in the top.

You can’t see it from the outside, but the side panel ventilation holes come with their own magnetic dust filters; I love attention to details like this.

A lot is going on behind the motherboard, and the most notable thing has to be the amount of space. Since the Ceres 330 supports hidden cable motherboards, there needs to be extra depth here for all the connectors, and thankfully, there is!

Behind the motherboard, you’ll find this removable drive plate, which supports either a 2.5″ or 3.5″ drive.

There’s an additional SSD mount here.

And one more above that!

There are a bunch of cable tie loops throughout the case, with some cable ties included in the box. However, some of them come with Velcro straps pre-installed too, and these will help you deal with the bulkier cables.

In the bottom of the case, there’s plenty of room for a large power supply, but also some additional cooling mounts towards the front of the case to help further enhance your airflow.
