Thermaltake has a long history of creating unique and creative PC case designs, that are often pretty large and heavy too now that I think about it. Today is no exception to any of this though, with the new Ceres 500 TG, which looks equal measures industrial and futuristic, and as usual for a mid-tower, it looks pretty hefty too.
Featuring a stock configuration that includes four CT140 ARGB Sync PC Cooling Fans, offering big airflow and lots of RGB customisation. However, it can handle up to a 420mm radiator in the front, or 2 x 360mm (one in the front, one on the top). Plus, Thermaltake says that more than 60% of the panels are perforated to allow for maximum airflow.
However, it’s the additional LCD panel that really grabs your attention. It’s a £109.99 optional extra, but stuck on the side of the case, it offers up some pretty unique options for monitoring and customising your next PC build, but we’ll get into that more shortly. Both the case and the LCD add-on are available in both black and white configurations, and it’ll be the black one that I take a look at today.
“Introducing a brand-new Thermaltake chassis series, the Ceres series. Designed with excellent cooling performance, the Ceres 500 TG ARGB Mid Tower Chassis comes with four CT140 ARGB Sync PC Cooling Fans pre-installed, and more than 60% of its panels are perforated to guarantee maximum airflow. What’s more, all the latest components can be placed into the chassis easily, for example, it supports up to a 420mm radiator at the front, and it features a GPU holder to give extra support. To maximize visual effects, users can choose to upgrade it with our optimal LCD panel kit to create an unique build.”
This LCD Panel can be added to the Ceres 500 TG ARGB Chassis (Sold Separately) to increase user customisation and display important information relevant to the system inside. The Panel Kit comes in two different styles – Black and Snow – and can be used with both of the aforementioned cases.
