Thermaltake Commander C35 TG ARGB PC Case Review

Complete System

When it comes to building a system inside the case, things couldn’t have gone much smoother. There’s loads of room inside here, and as you can see, everything looks very neat and tidy. We installed a huge RTX graphics card, and it’s barely taking up the full length of the chassis. Even then, we had room for a radiator up front.

PSU Shroud

The PSU shroud is fantastic, as it hides all the cables from your PSU, as well as any other hubs or accessories you want out of sight. However, there’s a small cut-out, allowing you to show off the general design of the PSU too.

A triple slot GPU proved of little concern to this case, although you could easily do multi-GPU if you wanted. Seven expansion slots is more than enough. However, if you have a riser cable, you could mount a GPU on its side too.

Cooling

Airflow is already pretty fantastic throughout the chassis. Those huge 200mm fans in the front pull in a vast wall of air. Plus, with great cable routing, we’ve got very little blocking the overall airflow. The rear exhaust fan, plus the ventilation in the top are more than enough to move heat away from your components.

I’ve gone with water cooling this time around, and had no problems mounting a lovely Thermaltake 360mm radiator in the front. It seemed a shame to waste those sexy ARGB 200mm fans, so I’ve used those in place of the stock AIO fans.

Clearance

There’s a frankly massive cut-away to the PSU shroud. It obviously clears up space for the radiator. However, there’s a pump/res mount in the base, so you can get everything mounted down nice and low.

The PSU shroud doesn’t have a vertical pass-through, so the GPU cable does have a to travel a bit, but it’s not a big deal.

Glorious

Overall, the final build looks superb. The cable routing looks tigy, and any RGB lighting in the case is a nice contrast to the matte black interior.

Even with the window in place, you still get a great view, as it’s not heavily tinted. Lucky that cable routing is tidy then, as it would all be on show.

ARGB

Those gorgeous 200mm fans are fully addressable, so you can really get your customisation game on here. Or, you can hook them up to the included hub, and use the RGB button on the front panel to cycle colours and effects. Overall though, it’s nice to see a high-airflow focused gaming chassis for a change!
