How Much Does it Cost?

The Thermaltake Commander C35 Tempered Glass ARGB Mid-Tower PC Case is available now with an MSRP of just £99.98 in the UK or $99.99 in the US. That’s pretty fantastic value for money. Sure, it’s not “cheap” but keep in mind, you get 2 x 200mm ARGB fans, a rear exhaust fan, tempered glass, the RGB hub, and a whole lot more included in the price.

Overview

When I first set eyes on the C35, I must admit that it didn’t really appeal to me. It’s a little too “gamer” for my eyes and I was worried the RGB would be too over the top. However, spending a day with it, it has really grown on me. The focus on huge airflow is certainly appealing, especially given the number of somewhat restricted airflow cases hitting the market at the moment.

Colourful

The ARGB fans are a big focus for Thermaltake on this model. They’ve pulled it off really well too. The fans are vivid, but not so bright that they feel like a distraction. I don’t want my room lit in RGB, just the case, and I think they do that nicely. I love that the hub is built-in, and I can control them from the front panel too; no need for desktop software if you don’t want it.

Hardware

When it came to building my test system, I was impressed with how smoothly things went. The huge PSU shroud certainly helps a lot and hides all your unwanted cables out of the way. Furthermore, there’s loads of room behind the motherboard, so no issues there. You can even fit 3.5″ HDDs behind the motherboard tray, that’s how much space there is! For those fitting custom loop hardware, lots of handy mounting spots are located where you need them.

Should I Buy One?

The C35 seems to have a bit of something for everyone. When it comes to custom loop or even just AIO coolers, it’s very capable of taking big radiators, pumps, etc. However, it’s even better as an air cooled chassis, with big stock airflow right out of the box. Either way, I think you’ll be very happy with what it has to offer.
